Spring Cleaning

It is Friday and Cece was still at her Tadika.

I decided to do so spring cleaning. Mr Rat come to pay a visit and already ate a few of my things. I have to clean up the mess he made.

I dont really have a time to clean up the store house. This morning, I rearrange the boxes, selected the good one and transferred the bad one into the car.

When my mother saw me loading the stuff in the car, she asked me to clean up the store under the Jambu tree.

The picture is the stuff before they were sent to the recyle shop. I got RM35 for the whole thing.

Cece's latest drawing

This is Cece's latest drawing.

The character on the left is nenek ( the word nenek unseen) and next to it is Mama.
Mama got a big nose, so I draw it big. Nenek is small in size so I draw u bigger than nenek because Mama is big.

Why my hair is like a triangle?

I dont know Mama, I saw Dora's hair is like that so I draw your hair like Dora's hair.

Why my toe is like chicken feet?

I dont know how to draw the leg and the toe, Mama..that was why I draw like that.

Bali 2009

Bali 2009 in Memory

 We did it!
BALI! Here we come!

April 2009, my friends and I finally reached Bali after a few months of planning. I was working with AirAsia when we did the planning. How much does it cost? As I was still working with AirAsia, I was eligible to 6 free flight tickets. I decided to asked my friend to join me to Bali and we only paid RM25 for airport tax each. It was 3days and 2 nights trips and we stayed at emntari Bungalow somewhere in Kuta Town, a hundred metres from the bombing insiden in Bali about 10-12 years ago.
The hotel cost us about USD120 each. For transportation, we hired Pak Bajil for 3 days. Pak Bajil was recommended by my friends who already came to Bali a fe times and she really satisfied the Pak Bajil's services.  Upon arrival, Pak Bajil already waited for us. We went to the 1st stop - I forgot the name of the hill but we watched the sunset and the puppet show.

On day 2, we went to the still-active Gunung Batur volcano, at an altitude of 1,717 meters (5,635 ft).  We had a buffet lunch which cost us about Rp50,000. Owh actually we were in a tight budget because we already overspent on the 1 night. We went to Jimbaran Bay and have a lobster for our dinner and it cost us about almost Rp1mil!

We also went to Pasar Sukawati where we had a splendid shopping day!  I got best price item for RM60! It was 2 handmade bags where the actual price in Malaysia is about RM70 per bag. I also bought some gowns for my Cece. The gown was only RM3 each! I have to bought another bag to fit in all the shopping item.

On the final day, we went to Tanah Lot and then we off to Denpasar Airport and say Good Bye to Bali. Unfortunately, our flight has been delayed and at 3am, the engineering department declared that they have to grounded the aircraft because of flap problem. We got a free stay in Nusa Dua with Rp0 in our pocket. Luckily we still have our Maggi packets.

Bali again??? Nahhhh...

Tattooing

I was editing Cece’s album using U-Print when I came across to this picture. This picture was taken when she was 17 months old.

It is stated in the Module: Total Development of Children (1-4 years old) that at the age of 1 year old, the children started to draw. They started with sketching instead of fine drawing. By giving them a large paper, they can develop their fine motor skill by using their fingers to hold and use a pencil. It also advisable to give them a big size colour pencil so they can adjust their fingers when using the pencil.

My daughter proved that that statement is true. It was raining on that day, so we decided to stay at home. She was playing with her cousins when suddenly Boboi yelled “Mummy! Look at Cece now!”

She was playing with my pen (it was totally my fault) and sketched a drawing onto her palm, wrist and her legs. Not again....

This time I joined her to make a drawing. I took the pen and started drawing on her tummy and legs. The best thing, from that day onward, she never touches my pen again.

Karipap Cece

I love to eat kuih karipap that was made my mother. Home dishes will never let me down. A few weeks ago, Cece joined her granny to make karipap. I bought her a new and small karipap’s mould. She was very excited because before this she used the big karipap mould. I was sleeping when she suddenly woke me up and showed me the outcome.

My mother said that she did it all by herself without any help from my mother. The special thing about her karipap was, there was nothing inside the karipap! Not even a single potato! My mother taught her that to put the filling inside the dough but she doesn’t want to put it as she doesn’t really like the taste of the filling. It was a little bit spicy actually.  She insisted to make an empty karipap and she said that she will eat her karipap.

No one can touch or eat her karipap except Mama. But I cannot eat the karipap as it was just fried dough that was originally a mixture of flour, butter and salt. Who finished up the karipap? She did!

Cancer and me (Part II)

16 January 2013
0735T Hospital Serdang

We reached early at the check in counter because my father also had an appoinment with the Ortho Speacialist this morning.

As per expected, the lump is the cancer cell that has been recurrent. The doc was so frustrated because the last time, he was one of the surgery team that spent 6hours on my surgery to remove rhe cancer.

I have to restart all over again. From the blood test up to chemoteraphy and also the radiotherapy including the operation.

This time, I feel a little bit nervous...What will happen to Cece if something happen to me?  I knew that my sister will take care of her because she loves Cece like her own daughter but will she look after Cece like I did for the oast 6 years?

Tacheh's 1st Day of School

2/1/2013

It was Cece’s 1st day of school at her new preschool at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Pelek. Cece’s schooling hours started at 7.40am and finished at 11.40am. She woke up at 7am and took her morning bath right after mama got so angry because she said she don’t want take her bath. She wore her white t-shirt and blue sport trousers and brushed her hair all by herself.

It was Wednesday and since it was the 1st day of school for the new student (including Standard 1 students), the parents were allowed to sent their children up to the class doorstep. Cece’s pre-school class is actually at the end block of the school. I have settled the fees payment last Saturday during the Orientation Day.

At the doorstep of the class, Cece suddenly said, “Mama, go home now. Go to your school now or you’ll be late. This is my school not your school. Go now, Mama!”

“I want to stay for a while. I want to see how the teacher teaches you in this school”

“Cannot la Mama, go la...”

My little girl is not “little” anymore. Even though she is only 6 years old but there was a strange feeling inside my heart when I walked away from her class. It wasn’t a bad feeling but somehow I felt like I wanted to cry, I wanted to stop the time so my little girl will be my little girl forever.

Next to my parents house is my old school of SRA Sungai Pelek. I have discussed with my mom and we decided to send Cece to SRA in the evening to learn agama. I know it is too early to send her to SRA but at least she will learn something new at school. I had a simple meeting with the Headmistress and she agreed to accept my daughter to Year 1 class but Cece will have to stay in the same Year 1 class for the next year.

Since it was unplanned program, I haven’t prepared anything for her new SRA and today was the 1st day of school for SRA also. I picked up Cece at 11.45am at her pre-school and headed to MyMydin at Kota Seriemas to find the SRA uniform for her. Out of my luck, the uniform was nowhere to be found so I decided to go to Tesco, Nilai. Again, there was no school item nor school uniform in sight. The promotional rack was already changed to CNY item. OMG! I just came here yesterday and today it was all gone!

The clock was 1.15pm and I still haven’t found any school uniform. My last choice was Giant located next to Tesco. I was so relief when I saw there was a school uniform at the promotional area. We hurried to the area and start searching for the size. The promoter said that there was no stock available the small size and the only brand that still available will cost about RM35 for a piece of baju kurung only not a pair of baju kurung. She told me to go to Hari-Hari, located just in front of Giant.

We hurried to the store and as soon as I reached the store, I asked the promoter to get a complete school uniform set for Cece. The promoter hurried to the rack to get the size but the funny thing happened when she bring the set of baju melayu to my daughter. My daughter love to wear boy’s shirt and people always said that I have a son not a daughter.

She changed the set to the new baju kurung and I asked my daughter to change to the uniform because we will straight go to the school for registration. I spend RM30 for a complete set of her uniform. Just imagine how the brand of an item can cost us in everyday life?
