Bali 2009 in Memory
BALI! Here we come!
April 2009, my friends and I finally reached Bali after a few months of planning. I was working with AirAsia when we did the planning. How much does it cost? As I was still working with AirAsia, I was eligible to 6 free flight tickets. I decided to asked my friend to join me to Bali and we only paid RM25 for airport tax each. It was 3days and 2 nights trips and we stayed at emntari Bungalow somewhere in Kuta Town, a hundred metres from the bombing insiden in Bali about 10-12 years ago.
The hotel cost us about USD120 each. For transportation, we hired Pak Bajil for 3 days. Pak Bajil was recommended by my friends who already came to Bali a fe times and she really satisfied the Pak Bajil's services. Upon arrival, Pak Bajil already waited for us. We went to the 1st stop - I forgot the name of the hill but we watched the sunset and the puppet show.
On day 2, we went to the still-active Gunung Batur volcano, at an altitude of 1,717 meters (5,635 ft). We had a buffet lunch which cost us about Rp50,000. Owh actually we were in a tight budget because we already overspent on the 1 night. We went to Jimbaran Bay and have a lobster for our dinner and it cost us about almost Rp1mil!
We also went to Pasar Sukawati where we had a splendid shopping day! I got best price item for RM60! It was 2 handmade bags where the actual price in Malaysia is about RM70 per bag. I also bought some gowns for my Cece. The gown was only RM3 each! I have to bought another bag to fit in all the shopping item.
On the final day, we went to Tanah Lot and then we off to Denpasar Airport and say Good Bye to Bali. Unfortunately, our flight has been delayed and at 3am, the engineering department declared that they have to grounded the aircraft because of flap problem. We got a free stay in Nusa Dua with Rp0 in our pocket. Luckily we still have our Maggi packets.
Bali again??? Nahhhh...
