I love to eat kuih karipap that was
made my mother. Home dishes will never let me down. A few weeks ago, Cece
joined her granny to make karipap. I bought her a new and small karipap’s
mould. She was very excited because before this she used the big karipap mould.
I was sleeping when she suddenly woke me up and showed me the outcome.
My mother said that she did it all by herself
without any help from my mother. The special thing about her karipap was, there
was nothing inside the karipap! Not even a single potato! My mother taught her
that to put the filling inside the dough but she doesn’t want to put it as she
doesn’t really like the taste of the filling. It was a little bit spicy
actually. She insisted to make an empty
karipap and she said that she will eat her karipap.
No one can touch or eat her
karipap except Mama. But I cannot eat the karipap as it was just fried dough
that was originally a mixture of flour, butter and salt. Who finished up the
karipap? She did!
